Booking Policy

1. Booking Confirmation
A booking is confirmed only after full payment is received and a PNR (Passenger Name Record) is emailed to you. Please carry a copy of your confirmation email — printed or digital — at the time of the event.
2. Age & Eligibility
- Minimum age for weekend treks: 14 years (children below 14 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian who has signed the indemnity form).
- Minimum age for Himalayan and technical expeditions: 18 years.
- Summer camps have specific age brackets mentioned in each listing.
- All participants must sign a self-declaration of medical fitness at the pick-up point.
3. Payment
We accept the following payment methods:
- Online payments via Razorpay (Cards, UPI, Net Banking, Wallets)
- Bank transfer (NEFT / IMPS / Cheque — for corporate bookings)
- Cash / at-venue payment (available on select events, at the sole discretion of Mumbai Trekizens)
All prices displayed are per person and are the final amount payable — no additional taxes or surcharges are added at checkout.
4. Booking Deadlines
- Weekend treks and camps: Bookings close 24 hours before departure or when the batch is full — whichever is earlier.
- Multi-day tours and Himalayan expeditions: Bookings close 7 days before departure.
- Corporate events: Custom deadlines communicated in your quotation.
5. Photo ID Requirement
Every participant must carry a valid government-issued photo identity card at the time of the event. Accepted IDs: Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID, Driving Licence. Participants without a valid ID may be denied boarding without refund.
6. Modification & Date Shift
You may request a date-shift once per booking, subject to availability. The date-shift request must be raised at least 7 days before your original event date and is subject to a nominal admin fee.
7. Weather & Force Majeure
Mumbai Trekizens reserves the right to postpone, alter or cancel any event due to weather, natural calamities, government restrictions, or any circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, participants will be offered a full credit voucher (valid 12 months) or a date-shift.
8. Group Size
Events run with a minimum of 8 participants unless otherwise mentioned. If the minimum is not met, Mumbai Trekizens will notify participants at least 48 hours in advance and offer a full refund or a date-shift.
9. Participant Conduct
Participants are expected to follow the trek leader's instructions at all times. Any participant found to be under the influence of alcohol/drugs during the activity, or behaving inappropriately with fellow participants, staff or locals, may be ejected from the trip without refund.
10. Liability
Adventure activities carry inherent risks. All participants are required to sign an indemnity form at the time of the event. Mumbai Trekizens carries activity insurance for the duration of each trip but participants are strongly encouraged to carry personal travel insurance for high-altitude and multi-day expeditions.
11. Data & Privacy
Personal information collected at the time of booking is used solely for event administration and safety. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.
