Frequently Asked Questions
Waterfall Rappelling — FAQs
Everything travellers ask before booking a waterfall rappelling.
Do I need experience for waterfall rappelling?
No — first-timers welcome. A safety briefing and practice rappel on dry rock precede the waterfall descent.
What is the height of the waterfall rappels?
60 ft (Sondai) up to 115 ft (Kondhane). Difficulty scales with height.
Is rappelling safe in heavy rain?
Yes, with proper gear — but we call it off during thunderstorms. Weather is monitored hourly.
What safety gear is provided?
IMF-certified harness, static rope, dynamic backup rope, helmet, and gloves. Belayers on top and bottom.
Can I do rappelling if I have vertigo?
Mild vertigo is fine — we start with 20 ft practice. Severe vertigo should consult your leader first.
What is the minimum age?
14 for up to 100 ft. 18 for 100+ ft descents.
